University of Georgia Department of Classics
The largest and most vibrant Latin program in Georgia and one of the two or three largest in North America; the department, which works in close collaboration with the College of Education's Language Education Department, provides more preservice and inservice opportunities for Latin teachers than perhaps any other Classics department in the country, including a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, a Studies Abroad program in Rome, several Latin distance education classes (available via WebCT, email, or snail mail), and the Georgia Classics Summer Institute, which offers classes for initial or upgraded certification and a summers-only M.A. program.
