A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
Program offers a competition for awards for study
abroad for US citizen undergraduate students who are receiving
federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university.
This congressionally funded program is offered through the Bureau
of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of
State and is administered by the Institute of International Education.

UGA
Studies Abroad in Rome
The University of Georgia Classics Department has
directed for over 30 years a studies abroad program in Rome open
to undergraduates, graduate students, and P-12 teachers; the program
runs for six weeks each summer.

OF GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF CLASSICS SCHOLARSHIPS
1) The Linda J. Piper Award is intended to assist
students with expenses related to study abroad; 2) the David L.
Thompson Studies Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist undergraduates,
including prospective teachers, who study abroad in the UGA Classics
program; preference given to majors, minors, and graduate students
in the Department of Classics; 3) the Richard A. LaFleur Teacher
Scholarship is available for Latin teachers enrolled in the University
of Georgia's Summer Classics Institute, including those studying
in the department’s summer program in Rome.
